This is Rev. Steve and Melinda Scroggs
Welcome to our home on the web. From wherever you are around the world or just down the street, we’re glad you stopped by. Feel free to look around and make yourself at home. What’s ours is yours. We are looking forward to meeting you one day. If not here, in our eternal home.
Like life…we’re still under construction. Thank for your patience while we put things on the website to help you and your friends.
Please remember, God has good thoughts toward you. He believes in you and we believe in you. You are the joy that motivated him to send his Son into the world. He has never had an evil thought toward you, because he has your best interest at heart. The prophet Jeremiah speaks clearly about God’s heart toward you:
“I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope. Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will hear you. When you look for me, you will find me. When you wholeheartedly seek me, I will let you find me, declares the LORD. I will bring you back from captivity.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13) The eternal loving God is saying that his plans for you are filled with hope. So, be kind to yourself.
Hope lives in the heart and is released in music.
Let your heart be filled with hope. There is no such thing as false hope. Why? Because hope is eternal. When you believe in hope you exercise an eternal power. However, a challenge will rise up against hope.
When God inserted you into creation, and right into the middle of the most fantastic adventure story ever imagined, you received the physical limitation of a human perspective. The way you think about things will try choke the eternal power of hope, and leave you a beggar. This is what the Apostle Paul was talking about in Corinthians:
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I no longer used childish ways. Now we see a blurred image in a mirror. Then we will see very clearly. Now my knowledge is incomplete. Then I will have complete knowledge as God has complete knowledge of me. So these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the best one of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:11-13)
Hope is the confident expectation that a promise given will be fulfilled! When I was a child, I did not see hope as eternal but connected to temporary things, and therefore hope appeared temporary. As a child, I could only see hope in blurred images. Like when my father promised to take me fishing, and for a week I looked forward to that promise. When that day came the hope ended because it was fulfilled. The hope that sustains the human heart is the same. When you choose to believe in Jesus Christ and receive his promises, you receive an eternal promise that will be fulfilled both here and in heaven. This promise is out of this world. With this understanding I grew up and my knowledge was made complete in God.
Yes… you can have bucket loads of hope. In fact, we want you to receive hope everyday of your life. We want you to have so much hope, that you will give it away like candy. So, believe his promises and walk with him. He is eternal hope and he is with you.
God bless you with peace and much love.

God’s Perspective of Forgiveness
One day as I was sitting in my office, I heard my next appointment in the waiting room. This lady had made an appointment a week earlier. She had a fulfilled marriage of 18 years, with three teenage children, and all was going well. Or so I thought… The waiting was over and she stepped into my office.
“Hi Sarah, please have a seat. How are you today?” I asked.
“Oh, I’m fine.” She said, with an apprehensive hesitant tone.
Sensing the struggle in her, I asked, “What is on your heart today?”
She hung her head, sat down in the chair said, “I need your help. I need to forgive my father. For some reason …I am not able to do that.”
My first response was rather candid, “Well, you know what the scripture says about forgiveness, don’t you?”
She says, “Yes, and I have said ‘I forgive you’ over and over again. I have prayed it. I have spoken it out loud, but somehow feelings of anger and rage keep coming up inside me, and pain comes up with it.” Her pain surfaced and I could see the conflict building. She tried to brush it off, but it would not be denied.
In that moment I realized that I was missing something. So I asked, “Do you want to tell me what you need to forgive him for?”
She looks down again, and sighs, “Ok…, I love my dad… but when I was 12 years old my dad started coming into my bedroom at night and sexually molesting me. This continued maybe two or three times a week until I was sixteen and I ran away from home. Our relationship has been now been reasonably restored, and I have tried everything to forgive him and let it go, but I can’t seem to do it.”
I thought to myself, “Give me a gun and I’ll take care of it for you.” I’m glad I didn’t say that out loud. No wonder she is troubled with forgiveness. Her father; the one man who was to establish her identity, watch over her, protect her, and be the strong moral foundation for her family; began to lust after her, touch her inappropriately, and gratify his lustful desire with her violently. This action is so demeaning that it crushes the spirit. The closest description to the way she would feel is as a black hole that is so dark and lifeless that it sucks up every good feeling from her life.
As she is pouring out her heart, I began a conversation with God in the back of my mind, “Oh God, please help! The trite answers that everyone would give for forgiveness will not work in this situation. I need your wisdom Oh Lord. What do you want me to tell her?”
Then I heard a still small voice that I know as the Lord’s whisper, “She needs a picture for her life that is bigger than herself.” While I was talking to her in my office, this conversation between me and God continued in the back of my mind. “I agree Lord, but what picture would that be?”
He said, “Take out a piece of paper. I want you to tell her a story and draw a diagram. Write on the right side near the top, ‘Jehovah = I am that I am’ and tell her that I am Jehovah, which means ‘I am that I am.’”
He then said “Draw a triangle, representing God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as the originator of this plan, in the top left corner of the paper. Now share this with her, Jehovah = I am that I am, and that everything adds up in my universe.”
As I wrote this on that piece of paper, my hand went right under the ‘I am that I am’ and wrote 1+1=2, and then under that equation to write 2+2=4. Then he said, “Tell her that since ‘I am that I am’ is my nature, what you see is what you get. Everything adds up in my universe and everything has to add up in my universe. I am perfect, and I created everything perfect in its original state.”
Then the still small voice said, “Now, draw a short line from the left side of the paper, about half way down.” As I drew, my hand moved as if I knew what to draw. For an hour or more I talked to her about God’s eternal plan for her life, and his eternal purpose to forgive and redeem his creation back to him. On the line at the left side of the paper, I drew two trees with two people (stick figures) standing under these trees.
And then he said, “Now tell her… Into this perfect environment I planted a garden full of fruit trees. But in the midst of this garden, I put the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then I put Adam in the garden and told him “…of every tree in the garden you may eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof thou shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:17)
Then He said, “Tell her that Adam and Eve chose to eat from this forbidden tree and disobey me. And when they acted in disobedience, they sinned and fell from the original state of perfection they were created in, to a state of legal separation from me and a total commitment to self as the source, causing the curse of death and the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to pass as an inherited curse to every man woman and child.”
As I was describing the fall, I drew a vertical line down to the bottom of the page, and drew two stick figures, lying down in a position of death. Next, I drew a circle around them with slash marks around the circle coming from the outside of the circle in toward Adam and Eve; illustrating the anger of God that was directed toward them for their act of disobedience and that the integrity of his nature required when a breach to his Holiness is activated. This circle that looked like an explosion illustrated his nature being an all consuming fire, that cleanses as it consumes.
Then he said, “Tell her that in the moment of their decision, they sinned and fell from perfection. For the first time in earth’s creation, everything did not add up in my universe any more. But everything must add up in my universe, and someone has to pay for sin and death. Therefore, I was presented with two choices.
First, I could totally annihilate them; making them pay for their own disobedience and causing them to bear the full weight of my righteous anger. If I annihilate them, everything will be atoned for, and everything will add up in my universe again. This was my first choice, but I had another.
Second, I could take all that they deserved in judgment and death, anger and accusation, guilt and condemnation, offence and betrayal onto myself, and then take all of that righteous and holy justice of destruction and death out on my Son on the cross.”
As I said this, my hand drew a circular line starting from the explosion of death at the bottom of the left-hand section of the page; around to the top of the page right into the triangle I had drawn in the beginning, representing God. Next, I moved about 2/3’s of the distance across the page and drew a cross on the timeline. And then I drew a straight line on an angle from the triangle to the cross, representing the place where God put all that Adam and Eve deserved on his Son. Jesus was made “…to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Then he said, “When I chose this, Adam and Eve, and with them all of humanity, was given grace and mercy to be lifted up into life again; not because they deserved it, but because I loved them.” As I was saying these things, I drew a line from the circle of death and judgment up to the straight timeline that was completed to the right of the page. Then, I drew the stick figures of Adam and Eve on the line.
He continued, and I continued, “Now, in this state of grace they would be given many opportunities to hear my story of salvation, see Jesus on the cross, and exercise their free-will to believe in my Son Jesus. If they choose to receive and believe, they will receive eternal life and walk in forgiveness. But if they choose not to believe, they will die in their sin, and be sent to hell with the fallen angels.”
Tell her “I took the second choice, and took her sin on myself, and took all of my righteous anger and justice out on my son on the cross. And now, everything adds up in my universe again. I and my Son paid what she could not. It was her sin and her father’s sin that I took to the cross.”
We then said, “Now your father is lying in that fallen place of death and condemnation, deserving total annihilation. When you were in this same place of sin, I took your offense on myself, carried it to the cross and left it there. Will you take your father’s sin on yourself, carry your father’s offense to the cross and leave it there? This is how she can act just like me.” Her tears started to roll down her cheeks. She hung her head to think and process what she had heard.
After a few moments I asked, “Do you want your father to be condemned to hell forever for what he has done to you?”
It felt almost like an eruption when she exclaimed, “No… He is my dad!” Then I saw a light come into her eyes. She lifted up her head and said, “Thank you, I can forgive him now.” When she chose to forgive, her burden was lifted, and she was free. Through wisdom, this lady received an entirely new perspective of her life purpose and she was shown how to forgive. She built a foundation for truth and wisdom for her life when she chose to act.
This is an story taken as a segment out of Steve’s new book coming out soon entitled: IF YOU COULD? Seven Keys to Activate the Imagination
Since God is the creator of the heavens and earth, he established all authority in the universe through the power of his word. The Apostle Paul traveled in the first century world with the word of God and the demonstrations of the power of the Spirit wrote this scripture:
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. (Romans 13:1 KJV)
The Authority of God
Although the evidence may seem contrary, there is no power or authority apart from God. Before Paul was an apostle, he was Saul the zealot; for the laws of God and in agreement with the religious leaders of his day. After Jesus was taken up into heaven, the religious leaders began to persecute every Israeli citizen who proclaimed their faith in Jesus Christ. After witnessing the death of Stephen, Saul in effect arrested and killed as many believers in Jerusalem as he could find. Then he obtained legal papers from the Sanhedrin to track down these heretics in other cities, and had appointments in Damascus. His mission was to drag them from their homes, put them in prison and stone them to death.
On the way, Jesus met him, knocked him down and said, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” Saul said, “Who are you LORD? And what do you want me to do?” God can reach anyone anywhere, because he is in charge. But, when Saul got up he was blind. After a change of heart and days of fasting and prayer, God sent Ananias to open Saul’s eyes. Later he became the Apostle Paul.
How to Lose Your Authority
One day a lady came in with tormented thoughts of depression and suicide. The demonic had been oppressing her for years through intimidation and fear. She had complete authority, but had not learned to activate the power (the ability to act and do) of the revelation of Christ. With no practical spiritual help, she began seeing a psychiatrist and taking anti-depressants that kept her numb, and did not really help. As God began to open the eyes of her heart and soul, the spirit of discernment revealed a dark fog-like being surrounding her, with little static lightning bolts sporadically illuminating. She had lost her identity in her childhood, and began to believe that she was the sum of her dark secrets. She had been visited by a demon in the moment of great fear and told that he would “help” protect her. The demon lied, because that is what they do, but she wanted help so she agreed with him; but over the years her identity was eclipsed by this ominous cloud of depression. She believed the depression was her.
As this was being revealed I said, “This is good news.” She said, “Good news? This is not good news, it’s a demon. What do you mean it’s good news?” I responded, “Well, all that you have been experiencing, and all of the symptoms you have listed for me are the characteristics in this dark cloud around you. This means that it is not you! All of the thoughts of suicide and hopelessness are not you or your thoughts. It is the demon that is manifesting as this ominous cloud.” Then I said, “Do you want to keep this demon and his thoughts?” She said, “No! Are you kidding?” I reacted with a small chuckle, “I have to ask that question so that your will can engage.” As I began to reveal the authority that Christ had established for her, she was filled with a righteous anger for the years this demon had stolen from her.
How to Reactivate your Authority
At this point, we began to activate the authority of Christ through prayer. Faith coupled with prayer is the most powerful weapon that destroys the work of the enemy. We began to pray something like this:
In the name of Jesus and by the power of his blood, I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over all creation, and I submit to him right now. Lord God, I take the authority you have given me, the authority of the word of God, and by the power of the blood of Jesus, I command any and every unclean spirit of depression and intimidation, manifesting around me or in me to be bound in Jesus’ name and to leave my life now! I renounce any involvement with it, and any participation with it, and any agreement that I have ever had with it.
Unclean spirit, I do not need you, I do not want you, and I command you to leave my life now, in Jesus’ name.’ Go now, before the throne of God, and give an account of yourself, and do not return to me in Jesus name!’
Lord Jesus, I agree with you that I have lived in fear. But from this moment, I renounce the spirit of fear and I receive a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. I choose right now to receive your perfect love to fill me. I confess any unforgiveness as sin, and I choose to forgive anyone who has ever hurt me. I choose to live in a spirit of forgiveness from this day forward.
Lord Jesus, will you please send the Holy Spirit to fill me, and send your healing light into my heart, my soul, my body, and my life right now, please? I receive the Spirit of holiness, the spirit of burning and justice, with power and might, to guard me in all the places of my heart and soul. Thank you Lord Jesus. I affirm my confidence and faith in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross right now in the name of Jesus, AMEN!
The Victory of God
She was delivered, stepped into the joy of the Lord and began to walk on a new trek with the eternal Father, as he reestablished her identity with him. When your identity is broken the demons attack you and desire to prey on you. Your identity is who you believe you are from the heart, and is very important to your sanity. The Apostle Paul almost two thousand years ago stated the identity that you have in Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:12-13.
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son…” (Colossians 1:12-13)
This is the identity God wants you to receive and believe. When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you are a son or daughter of God, a saint of light, who has been translated from the power of darkness into the kingdom of his dear Son. This means that you have the authority of your eternal Father, because you are his child.
In the beginning you were created in the image of God. God’s desire, as the very first Father, was to reproduce after his kind; in his image, according to his likeness, and conferring on his children the authority of his dominion. Father God gave Adam his own qualities, attributes and characteristics. He imagined a son that would look like him, not someone else. This is why you don’t look like a monkey. Aren’t you glad God loved you enough to make you in his image? Aren’t you glad he is not a duck?
When God made you, he also caused the creation to recognize his child and the authority he had given you. Therefore, you were given the authority to deal with the visible and invisible, and everything that creeps on the earth. This is the first establishment of divine authority given to you through his word.
RECEIVE HIM!!! BELIEVE HIM!!! HE GIVES YOU AUTHORITY, TODAY!!!
 We are all here.
One day I received a call from a mother. It was late and her boy had just come home. She remembered her son as a vibrant youth that graduated from high school with honors, and worked as a paint contractor with her husband, a building contractor. He had been a normal teenager who rebelled against his parents. Before he was out of his teenage years, he took a turn for the worst, experimented with drugs and alcohol among friends and ended up hooked. After graduation he went through a couple of drug and substance abuse programs, and had kept the pain of the soul and his demons at bay until he entered his early twenties. However, the young man she saw at her front door was not the son she remembered. When he came home, he had been using drugs for almost 18 years. In the last few years he had used up all of his friends, ripped off several construction sites and betrayed his family members so many times that he had burned every bridge for help. After years of being on the streets, getting drugs whenever and however he could, committing unmentionable crimes and sins, he was standing at her door, a 70 pound shell of emptiness. The demons had almost killed him, and this was not the first time they had tried. She said, “My son has come home, will you come and help us?” My Associate Pastor and I went over and began to minister to him. After about a two hour cleansing and deliverance session the demons were gone and he was free. He slept for days.
A Rising Spiritual Power
The Sons of God in a Dark World
In more than thirty years of ministry, I am seeing more angelic activity, more demonic torment, more dreams and visions reported, more demonic faith, more spiritual night mares, and more powerful deliverance with sustained freedom in my counseling appointments than at any other time. Isaiah the prophet, who is more accurate than Nostradamus, prophesied these things almost 2500 years ago:
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. (Isaiah 60:1-3 KJV)
All across America, and around the world, there is a rising tide of spiritual hunger, spiritual awareness, and spiritual power that is working as yeast through a lump of dough. The souls of men and women are being activated. This includes people I have met from around the world; Africa, Egypt, India and China.
One young believer laid his life on the line every day in Cairo, Egypt. He noticed the police watching him, as if on a stake-out. One night after a meeting he started home at dusk, when the police began to pursue him. He started to run for his life. Up the stairs to the roof top, he began jumping from roof top to roof top, and then into an old hiding place. This room was secure, he thought, until the pursuing police and a few town officials busted through the door. This room had never been compromised before. His hands went up as his heart began to thank God for the privilege of being persecuted for him. There were city officials with the police this time. The officials commanded the police officers to leave them and go back to the station. This seemed highly unusual to this young man. After the police officers left and only he and the officials remained, the leader of the officials said, “Each of us have had a vision of Jesus Christ, and he told us who he was and that he was the only God. We have renounced Islam and the Muslim faith. Will you take us to your meetings?” They all went that night and joined a group in an underground meeting; and joined the church of Jesus Christ. No religion can keep God from speaking to people.
Many are seeing God as he really is while others are multiplying the lies and deception surrounding the Spiritual realm and the ministry of light and dark angels. In this book I want to bring to your attention to many insights, knowledge and understanding in the scripture, that show the source of demon activity, reveal the strategy of the enemy, show the power of the accuser, and demonstrate the authority you have for deliverance. The Lord God spoke this to his servant Hosea the prophet.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)
These existed before time and space!
You are living in a society that has cast off the knowledge of God, the laws of God and the desire to even know them. They have taken prayer out of the schools, the Ten Commandments out of the courts, and the scriptures out of the classroom. Corruption is at an all time high; from the highest seat in government to the lowest station in the workplace. You and I live somewhere in between these two posts. Although Hosea 4:6 is a word from God to Israel some 2300 years ago; God has not changed and his word is still accurate and effective. If you want to be free from the torment of demons, only the forgiveness of the blood of Jesus, the authority of the word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit will set you free, but you will have to agree with God. Demons are on a rampage through the flesh of every country on earth. Many people have more faith for the power of demons than for the person and work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, a curse of anxiety, panic, paranoia, and fear is unprecedented in the hearts of the people. The heart of the matter is what you believe. The fear of the unknown, a natural human reaction to the introduction to the Spirit realm, ranks up there in the list of Top Ten Tactics used by your unseen enemy.
This new power is Holy and unholy. In the end… GOD WINS!!! If you know Him… YOU WIN!!! But the choice is always yours!!! Learn how to fight with Holy Spirit and the angels. That is a purpose of this blog. Happy hunting!
The day that Pope Benedict resigned, lightening struck the Vatican’s most holy building, not once but twice. Was this a chance happening? Here is a picture and a video that someone recorded.
http://www.reuters.com/video/2013/03/04/lightning-strikes-vatican?videoId=241069571

When I was in grade school, I was taught that you could never know where the lightening would strike. I was taught that an electrical charge created by the environment of a storm would discharge its power at random. So I was taught to take shelter and wait for the storm to pass. Now that is good advise, and I have lived by that advise.
Not knowing where the lightning will strike, was brought into focus and made popular in the 80′s movie BACK TO THE FUTURE, when the characters needed the power of a lightening bolt to energize the time machine that would take Michael J. Fox back to the future. They needed the power, but did not know when and where a lightning bolt would strike. Not until Michael J. Fox, the boy from the future, showed the mad scientist a flyer telling the exact time and place that lightning would strike; the clock tower in the city square. He just happened to have a prophetic flyer with him, and I think you know the rest of the story.
Of course, while as a human I can not know where the lightning will strike, there is someone who does… GOD! This is what God said as he was revealing himself to his beloved Job.
“Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder; To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; On the wilderness, wherein there is no man; To satisfy the waste and desolate ground, And to cause the tender grass to spring forth?” (Job 38:25-27 ASV)
God knows where the lightning will strike and makes the channel for it. In fact, he refers to the creation through much of his talk with Job as his own servant. He releases the lightening for his purpose. Now, this is different than what I was taught. The following YouTube shows lightning strikes in slow motion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NZ7BollRo4
I have a friend who was struck with lightning twice. And Yes, he is still alive, and can at times still feel the power of God’s lightning flowing through him. In this recording, you can see the feelers from the ground reaching up toward the heavens, as if they are raising their hands for attention, and asking to be hit. There is something in all of us that wants proof positive of God’s power and magnificent glory.

All of that to say, God does have complete control of the weather and the lightning, and knows who or what gets struck. So, when the Vatican gets hit twice, what is he saying? It is a sign from God that he still holds all authority in his hand, and that he is the one who sets up authority and sets those in authority down for his purposes. Although I am not a Catholic, and don’t plan to be, God still establishes all the authority in the earth. (Romans 13) Since two is the number of witness, I believe that God witnessed the happenings in the Vatican, and brought about the change he wanted for his purpose in this time on earth. It will be interesting to watch as God’s purpose is witnessed by all of the inhabitants of the earth.
Take hope today! God is in charge, and he is big enough to know right where you are and why he put you there. Seek him. He is speaking through everything, and especially the lightning!
I would encourage you to get my book MY SPIRITWALK JOURNAL, as it will teach you how God speaks today and give you the wisdom to hear what he is saying; for TODAY. The link to Amazon is here for you. After you read the book, please write a review on the Amazon page for me… Thank you, Steve.

THE PURPOSE OF SOZOLIFE
You are living in the greatest time on earth. A world-wide revival is about to be released from heaven, and you are about to experience the greatest harvest of souls known to man. Sozolife is about raising up men and women who will work with Holy Spirit in transforming, healing, and cleaning the harvesters. Then giving them a process through which they can assist in healing broken people. It is about living in God’s family, on earth as it is in heaven, and bringing as many people into this family as you can.
“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Romans 5:10)
His life shows you who you are and his resurrection imparts the power to follow him. Jesus felt love and compassion for his people, like a momma bear loves and protects her young. Jesus saw his people as distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. What could be more like the people of our day in the earth? Then He said this to His disciples:
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:36-38 KJV)
SOZOLIFE ADVANTAGE
There is an advantage for the individual, church, and the minister who will use the process of Sozolife. God has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. Like the Old Testament priests who stood to minister between God and the people, so we as the New Testament priests stand with one hand touching the heart of God and the other serving the hearts and minds of his people. But the curse that was imprinted on you from conception is very strong. The Apostle Paul describes the condition of the human soul since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
FOUNDATIONS IN SCRIPTURE
And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him: if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister. (Colossians 1:21-23)
ADVANTAGE FOR EVERYONE
Following the process of Sozolife in the ministry of God, by the Spirit, and through the Word of God offers the following advantages.
1. For the Individual: Sozolife will facilitate an inward search for the secrets of the heart, guided by the Holy Spirit, for the healing and restoration of the soul, as well as a personal and experiential life with God.
2. For the Church: Sozolife opens a ministry that will help members of the family, and contacts in the community; work through and resolve conflicts within and demonic oppression without, for those who want to resolve life conflicts, and set their life in the power of the Spirit for healing solutions that will transform.
3. For the Minister: Sozolife presents powerful processes and insightful techniques to help the believer, in all walks of life; resolve conflicts, restore relationships, heal memories, renew the mind, and work out root issues that plague them as life habits.
DO YOU NEED HELP?
God touches everyone who seeks him with all of their heart, and establishes their life on the Word of God, and in the power of the Spirit. If you need help, drop us a line.

The old saying that a child is born with a clean slate to be written upon is simply not true. When you came into the world, you were given a genetic memory of the character, nature, and attributes of God, and at conception you are stamped with a download of the Adamic nature; the curse of Adam that he acquired for all humans, when he chose disobedience to God’s word in the Garden of Eden. This paradigm frames every perspective and shadows the development of every belief system in the soul of man and woman.
The Scripture says,
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:20-22)
This passage reveals that God’s word is true and still in effect today. One, God created Adam and gave him a choice that would affect all of us. Two, Adam’s choice in the Garden of Eden is still in effect today, because we all die. Three, Adam’s sin nature, leveraged on you from the beginning of your life, has a solution in Christ. Through Christ you are made alive and you have ultimate victory.
THE FORMATIVE YEARS
Therefore, each child will face the formative years unprepared. The spiritual genetic type memory of Adam’s nature, with the subsequent belief patterns and emotional fluency, hold a grip on the child that they are not fully equipped to deal with. The result of this programming cuts you off from a personal relationship with God. There is a higher divine purpose unfolding in your life on earth, from the cradle to the grave, but you can miss God’s eternal plan if you do not overcome the instinctual perspective brought about by the curse. This is the ultimate inherited curse. This is the mechanism that the heavenly Father uses to enable free will.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:3-6 KJV)
The Word tells you that God intends good for and established blessings for you in Christ. He chose you in Christ before he made the heavens and the earth. Then he gave you the ambition to be the trophy of his grace, and in gratitude offer praise and glory to God. But this purpose and activity is foreign to you when you are born.
As a child, you begin interpreting life experiences from the outset, and your belief system begins to be set up. Your being, consisting of a body, a soul, and a spirit, is the most incredibly interrelated and integrated recording and assimilating mechanism in the creation. Your soul, the real you as given by God, not only remembers everything you experience, but also processes it for later use. You cannot forget anything, but you can deal with the past and resolve every incident in the context of truth. You remember every: (1) experience; from the voices and sounds in your mother’s womb to the touch, taste, hearing, smelling, seeing, and sensing of all the human sensations, as well as brightest and darkest achievements on earth, (2) emotion; from the senses of love and fear, light and darkness, acceptance and rejection in our mother’s womb to the feelings of love or confusion, power or helplessness, strength or weakness, and depression or inspiration in the physical and spiritual realms of life, (3) decisions; from the choice to accept or reject our mother and father’s relationship to the selection to fear or love, fight or flight, judge or release, vow or deny the response to life struggles. The assimilation of these encounters seep into your heart and builds a life of confident faith, or an entourage of fear, doubt, and unbelief. I believe this is the subconscious flow that forms the perspective, paradigms, and decisions of every human heart.
This is what the Apostle Paul was talking about when he said:
AND BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD: BUT BE YE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, THAT YE MAY PROVE WHAT IS THAT GOOD, AND ACCEPTABLE, AND PERFECT, WILL OF GOD. (ROMANS 12:2)
THE FORMATION OF YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM
The foundation for your belief system must be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your beginning paradigm that was downloaded at conception, along with the development of your inner man is shaped by your choices. The consequence of wrong choices will weigh heavy on your psyche, and hinder you from experiencing warm and loving human relationships, and will all but annihilate any loving and intimate relationship with God. For instance, childhood experiences that involve sexual abuse, pornography, depression, and death of a family member can trigger false beliefs and cause a ripple effect of these beliefs throughout the child’s life. Knowing the way of the soul, God set up a plan to reach, redeem, resurrect and restore everyone who comes into the earth. This plan is called Sozo.
Sozo is a transliterated word of Greek origin. The word means: “to save, to deliver, to heal, and to make whole…” When the Angel Gabriel enters Joseph’s dream, and speaks to him about Mary being pregnant before he would marry her, he says:
AND SHE WILL BEAR A SON, AND YOU SHALL CALL HIS NAME JESUS, FOR HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS. (MATTHEW 1:21)
The word the angel used; save is Sozo. Therefore, Jesus will save his people from their sins. This promise has the strength to save, deliver, heal and make whole the soul and rebuild you belief system. Some Sozo sessions may last one to two hours, while others may last four hours. I have seen the Holy Spirit literally transform hearts by revealing and healing the deepest and darkest secrets of the human experience, and bring resolution to years of wounding and trauma.
The purpose of Sozo is to restore your relationship with God, release your soul from demonic oppression, heal your physical body and restore your being to wholeness. This is a tall order, but is promised through his Word.
I am completing a book that outlines each step and how to administrate this process.
 NEW BOOK! NOW READY!
This SpiritWalk Journal will help you process the psyche by the Spirit of truth through the imagination. The imagination, an organ of the soul that functions in the emotion center of the psyche, plays a major role in processing your inner man through life’s circumstances. The interpretation of each event will be key to sustaining a life of wholeness when in the middle of an earthly trial or when you are in the midst of financial and emotional prosperity.
King Solomon, the wisest man to live said, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23) The word keep used here in Hebrew means: “to guard, in a good sense (to protect, maintain, obey, etc.) or a bad one (to conceal, etc.)” (Strong’s Concordance, Hebrew Lexicon) Wisdom says to guard the development of your heart. In the beginning, Adam chose to disobey God, and eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. From the point of his disobedience everything changed. Adam wanted to be the source of his life, his wisdom, his decisions and his perspectives of what was right and wrong. Instead of God being the source, Adam chose his own way. This caused a degeneration of his reason and corrupted his heart. God said it like this in Genesis 6:5-6:
“And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” (Genesis 6:5-6)
The LORD was grieved at his heart. He saw the imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was evil continually. God saw the imagination: the conception formed, of the thoughts; the intention or plan of a thing contrived, of the heart; the feelings, the will and even the intellect as the center of man’s life, was evil and would need to be transformed continually. In other words, the conception of self-wisdom twisted the intention of the feelings, the will, and the intellect to serve self, preserve self, and focus on self instead of the God’s life in faith, hope and love. This is how self became the root source of pride. However, since the imagination resides in the soul as a function of the psyche, it can be retrained to bring life through a focus on God’s wisdom and glory. Pride says I am the source, serve my interests. Wisdom says God is the source, serve his interests. This book will help you move from a self focus to a God focus.
This book will bring the benefits of the imagination into reality.
Journal Your Stress Away
Journaling is the term used for the practice of writing a personal daily log of your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and creative conclusions surrounding the events of your life. Journaling can be as simple as recording the happenings of your life, or it can be a self-expression and self-exploration exercise that will release stress and validate your decision making skills. Journaling will also assist you in writing your life story: the characters, the circumstances, the emotions, the decisions, and the steps of resolution. Managing stress will come as you write in detail about your feelings and thought patterns, following a process of resolution. Write your thoughts as you would discuss them with a counselor.
Take Time to Write
Get up a little early, get a cup of coffee and give yourself time to process what you receive. Then just follow the outline and write down your experiences. You may need more paper as you get accustomed to putting your insight into words. This is where the natural and spiritual combine into one living stream.
The following instruction came from the throne of God,
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” (Revelation 21:5 KJVA)
The first step of ascension is practiced by focusing your imagination to hear what is flowing from the Spirit. As you establish a personal relationship with him, you will experience the Spirit speaking through six undisclosed ways. These will function like secrets because they have been set in the creation as the language of Spirit to be assimilated in a natural way. These six secrets: the creation, relationships, circumstances, teachers, the written word, the present tense voice are waiting to be revealed to those who will take the time to hear through them. The Spirit is always speaking. When you journal, you will begin to drink.
Journal With Five Steps
The following technique is a proactive way to establish insight for interpreting your life experience. Life holds the secrets of the universe, if you take the time to mine them out of the caverns of your psyche. This technique follows five steps: hear, meditate, act, write, and share. Cultivating such a habit in life will move you toward an interactive life with Spirit, release you to experience an active imagination, and initiate a state of wholeness in your soul. These steps can also function as a stairway of ascension from a life lived from a mere earthly perspective to a life lived from an eternal point of view. As you begin to function in these steps, you will encounter a renewed excitement for life and a new hope for the future. The result will be a sense of heaven on earth, regardless of your life circumstances.
Have you ever needed peace of mind? Has peace alluded you? As if peace was just within your grasp, but faded away at the last second. It seems that an absence of peace, effects our sleep more than any other part of our life.
 Ever felt this way?
Sleep studies have been made, for example: “According to the National Institutes of Health, 50 to 70 million Americans are affected by chronic sleep disorders and intermittent sleep problems that can significantly diminish health, alertness and safety. Untreated sleep disorders have been linked to hypertension, heart disease, stroke, depression, diabetes and other chronic diseases. Sleep problems can take many forms and can involve too little sleep, too much sleep or inadequate quality of sleep.”
“The Institute of Medicine recently estimated in its report, Sleep Disorders and Sleep Deprivation: An Unmet Public Health Problem, that “hundreds of billions of dollars a year are spent on direct medical costs related to sleep disorders such as doctor visits, hospital services, prescriptions, and over-the-counter medications.” Sleep problems and lack of sleep can affect everything from personal and work productivity to behavioral and relationship problems. Sleep problems can have serious consequences. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, drowsy driving claims more than 1,500 lives and causes at least 100,000 motor vehicle crashes each year.”
In fact, drug companies seem to be releasing new sleep medications weekly. I even have Tylenol PM in my cabinet. The wide sales of sleep drugs tell us that the state of the human soul is restless. In America, we push ourselves to the brink of sanity, seeking adventure, pleasure and the next buzz.
I was driving all night, on the way to Florida from Michigan when I came to the end of my ability to stay awake. I pulled into Love’s truck stop at 4 am, tired and falling down. I took four NoDoz tablets and chased it with a quart of coffee. I was good for a few hundred miles beyond my final destination. I was sleepless.
But the kind of peace I am talking about goes beyond a cup of coffee. This peace of mind is a sense of wholeness. A settled confidence that I have no inner conflict between my actions and my value system. When I am living in agreement between God and my heart, I will have peace of mind. The mind, a part of your soul, can torment you like no other organ.
Have you ever had day and night torments, with a restless days and a sleepless nights, because you choose to compromise your conscience and make a feel good choice, that brought conflict into your soul? I think they wrote a song for us in the sixties that sounded something like, “…how could something that feels so good… be so wrong…”
Let me give you five simple steps to get your peace of mind back.
But first, you must remember that God made your soul and your conscience. The conflicts come because you violate his commands and believe that you can determine for yourself what is good and evil, or what is right and wrong. When you reserve the right to make these decisions on your own, you get on a street car named desire, and put yourself on the race track of confusion. This entitles you to the shakes of overflowing adrenaline as you are circling at great speeds, and going nowhere fast.
Quietly
How do you get the peace of mind? Try these steps. I have… and they work!
Step #1 – Agree with God that he made you and he has the right to tell you what is good and what is evil. You can pray this prayer out loud to activate this. “Dear God, I have made my own choice and now I am in conflict against you and against my soul. I confess that the choice I made to _____________ (this is the action that violated your conscience and caused you to feel hollow inside when you were finished with it) is a sin against you and was in violation to your word and my conscience. Will you bring the blood of Jesus right now and cleanse me from this sin in Jesus name? Thank you for your forgiveness.”
Step #2 – Agree with God that you will choose to walk in his ways and give forgiveness to anyone who participated with you in this sin. This pray will help you, so pray it out loud. “Dear God, I choose to forgive ________ (the people who participated with you in this action, even if it was done only by yourself) for the part they played in either persuading me or helping me to fulfill my desires. And I choose to repent for any judgment I hold toward them, for what they have done, and any attitude I hold that would want them to pay for what they have done. In Jesus name, I sever any unrighteous connection between me and this other person, whether physical or spiritual. I choose to release back to that person any part of them that is in me. I give it back to them in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Step #3 – Agree with God to seal you with his Holy Spirit. This prayer will be like this. “Dear Jesus, will you bring the Holy Spirit right now and seal me with his purity and holiness. Will you impart to me the Spirit of burning and justice to cleanse me, and will you fill me right now with the Holy Spirit’s virtue and power? Will you please give me the mind of Christ? Will you write your laws on my heart and cause me to walk in your ways? Thank you in Jesus’ name Amen.”
Step #4 – Now take some time and memorize Psalm 23. The greater the inner conflict, the more you will need to trust the Lord. “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and staff they comfort me.”
Step #5 – Lastly try different kinds of music, usually more relaxing music, until you find some that will help as you pray. Here try this link out, you may find this music soothing… Off Shore
"Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
You are on your way to peace of mind. Now choose to think his thoughts after him, this is where peace reigns.
A woman came who was beaten down, accused and condemning herself. She was afflicted with Fibromyalgia. As the word of God was proclaimed and I laid hands on her, the Spirit of God hit her and broke the power of sickness and I saw this disease leave her body. This disease had entered through a trauma that she had experienced. But this night she was healed in Jesus name. The creator of heaven and earth is saying right now, "It is time for you to be healed!"
In the Healing Rooms we are experiencing new surges of healing power. I believe this is the faith of God that has been prophesied by one of God’s mantle prophets, Bob Jones. Bob, a prophetic father said in 1999, “...the 2000’s will reveal the Glory of God, the 2010’s will reveal the faith of God...” through the body of Christ into the world. What is the faith of God? The faith of God is you entering into his faith. Instead of you trying to believe your hardest, you will surrender to his living word, creative power and enter into his extraordinary faith.
This is in agreement with Jesus when he said in Mark 11, “Have faith in God.” Which is better translated, “Have the faith of God!” Then a few moments later Jesus says, “…What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Agreement between God and man releases miracle power. What do you need? Enter the faith of God and receive. It is important that the mind of those seeking the faith of God be “renewed” to bring harmony with the mind of Christ. You will not be able to go beyond the limits of your own thinking. “As a man thinks in his heart so is he…” (Proverbs 23:7)
In waking sleep one morning the Lord said, “Steve, what would it be like if you really had the mind of Christ…?” As he was saying this I heard my own soul say, “The scripture says I already have the mind of Christ.” But then for a split second I experienced the atmosphere of his mind… a doubt free total confident assurance of all the Father gives he can do and he will do. The sense of complete and utter possibility with no lack or limit.” Healing… No doubt. Miracles… No problem. God’s word…. Fully given and completely manifested.
How do you enter this faith?
1. What you behold you become. Choose to see Jesus dying on a cross for your sin and say, “Lord Jesus I believe that you died for my unbelief, and my sin. Lord Jesus I believe that God raised you from the dead. You are the Son of God. I believe.” Keep your eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”
2. What you receive you believe. Choose to receive the word of God as absolute truth even when you do not understand it. Now say, “Lord Jesus, I confess that you are my Savior, and I give you my heart and life right now. I receive you into my heart right now!” “As many as receive him… to them gave he power…” (John 1:12)
3. What you believe you experience. Choose to believe his word until he changes your experience. Now say, “Lord Jesus, I enter your faith right now. Will you take my heart and show me how to walk in your faith? I receive the experience of the faith of God.” Abraham “…called those things which are not as though they were…” Romans 4:17
As you enter the faith of God, healing becomes a part of you. A young man came into the Healing Rooms of Asheville, after he had been examined by three doctors and diagnosed with a tumor in his kidney. During ministry, he felt the power of God move across his back and he knew he was healed. The MRI on the next Wednesday was proof positive that God had indeed healed him.
Your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore belongs to God. When disease comes into your body it is trespassing and must be told, “GO… in Jesus name.” The scriptures say, “The kingdom (rule and reign) of God suffers violence (conflict) and the violent take it (our healing) by force. (Matthew 11:12, Italics’ mine)
John G. Lake, the man God used to start the Healing Rooms in 1915, received this vision. “I can see… that there is coming from heaven a new manifestation of the Holy Spirit in power, and that new manifestation will be in sweetness, in love, in tenderness,… beyond anything your heart or mine ever saw. The very lightning of God will flash through men’s souls….”

This is what we are looking forward to at this conference. The time is now! This conference will encourage, strengthen, train and empower you for the days ahead.
An impartation of healing anointing will be released on Saturday afternoon.
Come and experience the passion Jesus has for you!
When someone says, “Trust me.” what comes to your mind? Trust is an endangered species in the human psyche. I have met a few people who seem to trust regardless of how people have treated them. This shows me that it is a decision, and can only be sustained by a spirit of forgiveness. Distrust is an instinctual reaction to wounding, betrayal, violation and disrespect. Since you can learn to trust, what would it take for you to hand-down fall backwards into the arms of a friend? Like in many human experiences, God commands you to trust. He didn’t tell you how to do it, for in the doing the reward is manifested. The command looks like this:
Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding: In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I believe you can learn to trust, but it will not come through an intellectual pursuit. Trust is a function of the spirit and not the brain. What kind of a life would you have if you learned to trust? When I was very young, I began to realize that I did not trust anyone but myself. This means that I wanted to determine my destiny but somehow kept tripping myself.
It was a cool mountain summer day. School was out and my family went to spend the day with friends. I loved playing with my friends and had loads of fun. Among other things that day, my brother and I were riding a bike down a hill. This was really fun until the third time. I came up with a brilliant idea. Instead of keeping my legs and feet stretched out to keep my feet away from the spokes on the wheel, I decided to rest my heels on the axle where the nuts hold the wheel to the bike frame.
As we started down the hill we gained speed fast and it was exciting. But in an instant, my left heel got caught in the spokes. I screamed as my heel was being chewed up through my tennis shoes. Crying and screaming I was carried into the bathroom and placed in the bathtub where my could run water over my heel to cleanse the wound. I remembered thinking and then saying, “I don’t need stitches. I don’t want to go to the doctor.” I did not want stitches. I wanted to be left alone and heal on my own without an emergency room visit. As my parents looked at the tear in my heel they knew the best thing for me was to go to the hospital, but I did not have a say. The tear was so deep that they could see the tendons. After arriving in the emergency room, the doctor comes in and begins his work. Why is it that doctors push and pull the skin where it hurts most? I could only think of the pain. Even the shots of Novocain did not work because there was not enough skin available to deaden. (At least that is what he said…) I had to endure the pain through all ten stitches.
Today I still have a scar on my left heel. I remember being angry about being forced to endure that pain. I wanted to determine my future in that moment but I was helpless to do so. I needed stitches but I did not want them.
I remember having to learn that I could not survive without my parents providing for me. This being a lesson of life and a consternation of my heart, that my survival was not dependent on me.
This is one of the deepest and strongest desires we encounter… self-survival and self-sufficiency. I can take care of myself. Let me live life the way I want. These desires can also say “I don’t want to need anyone.” Therefore as a child I interpreted the care from my parents as bad for me but in reality it was the best thing for me. The events of life are given to you to break this deep emotional river that runs with pride.
As a baby you began dealing with this reality. Why did you cry when you were hungry? A baby knows when it is hungry. As a grandparent now, it is amazing to me to see just how young a child seems to know what it does and does not want. As a baby you know you cannot feed yourself. Mom or dad does not walk by the bedroom door and throw a bottle in your crib. Sometimes your cries became louder and more intense if your hunger is not met soon enough. And yet they still feed you in the most loving way. Mom holds you close to her heart and feeds you from her own living tissue. In this life experience, you can almost hear her saying “I love you and I will give myself for all that you need for life and growth.” Trust is being learned even when you cannot logically understand a reason for it.
My decision to respond or react to the events and circumstances in life are very important to my perceptions that help form my belief system, but I am not the source. I am not the originator and creator of the world I was born into. I observe the universe and enjoy the Sun, the Moon and the Stars, but I cannot call them by name or do I know how to reach them. I have seen them through a telescope and been amazed at pictures of the massive universe that the Hubble Telescope gives us.

Then I began to realize that there is a process to life. That the heavens are proclaiming the glory of God and the earth is showing his handiwork. (Psalm 19) I realized this in my heart a long time before this came into my conscious thought. God speaks to everyone on earth every day. He is speaking to you right now. As you are reading this and I am writing this, God is saying, “I gave you the knowledge and wisdom to have a written language, and just like the alphabet of your language has a designer, so I have designed a way to communicate who I am and share my love to you in a letter from my heart called ‘The Holy Bible.’” Somehow deep down you will know these things. Will you trust Him?
He was the only one present when He created the heavens and the earth. No human was there to evaluate how he created…and God was the only one there when he scooped the dirt into his hands and formed man and then breathed his own breath into Adam. He deserves your trust and your praise. Why believe those “smart” people who were not there?
King Solomon says, “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) I am learning to trust, how about you?
Like a Great Grandfather in the faith said recently, “What a man believes rules him. A man does not rule his beliefs.”
