At Mountain
Vintage Fellowship we enjoy "free" expression in worship. This
is why some stand and some sit. You will observe some lifting their
hands while others meditate. Others dance while some pray. This is not
to be for a show, but for our "Audience of One;" our God and
Savior Jesus Christ. To praise, worship, love Jesus and love one
another is the main thing around here. We
are not casual in our love for Jesus, but casual in dress ... so come
as you are!
In John 4, Jesus
chooses to reveal a jewel concerning true worship to a Samaritan
woman. "God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must
worship Him in spirit and in truth."
As we begin, give
yourself to God in prayer. Command yourself to praise the Lord.
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless
His holy name." Then submit to the Holy Spirit of
God. As you let your body, soul, and spirit worship God, listen
for His voice. Receive His revealed word through the Word of
God. In worship your heavenly Father will reveal Himself to you. What
kind of a Father would God be if He decided to never talk to you
again?
In this process of
worship, many of us hear God speaking. Usually this revelation will be
exhorting, encouraging and comforting. You may receive revelation that
He wants you to share with the body. When this happens, please submit
the revelation in writing right away. All revelation must be judged as
to timing, purpose, direction, and when the message is to be given.
Please give this paper to an usher or the pastor.
